The New ZEV Technologies Single Stage AR Rifle Trigger – No Longer Just For Glocks

Zev Technologies Single State AR Rifle Trigger

If you own a Glock, you’ve probably heard the name ZEV repeated over and over. On the forums, in YouTube videos, or even at the range. The signature look of their black-and-red Glock triggers is immediately recognizable, and not often confused.

According to most, a ZEV trigger is the best way to accessorize the Glock platform, with millions of rounds pumped out of civilian, law enforcement, and military Glocks.

But now, they are doing something new. For ZEV, branching out seems to be a standard. What started with a solid  trigger expanded to barrels, springs, cut slides, and full customization for every part of the Glock platform. Having saturated that market with the most prized upgrades available, they’re now moving to another platform.

The AR, another highly customizable weapon platform, is getting an upgrade, of the ZEV variety, and they are starting the same way that they did with Glocks: at the trigger.

The new Zev Technologies single stage AR trigger is meant to bridge the gap between competition, military, and civilian use.

The first, and best way to make any rifle trigger better is to extend it, providing a surface that your finger will recognize by touch, ensuing consistent placement, the first time, and every time.

Another modification is that this trigger is machined from 17-4 billet stainless. A steel trigger for ultimate wear-and-tear resistance. While most after-market replacements are aircraft aluminum, ZEV is setting a new bar, and it starts with a rock-hard material.

If you are going for maximum resistance to the elements, and the ZEV single stage AR rifle trigger definitely is, then the best modification you can make to any metal component is to wrap it in a coating that matches or exceeds those of the factory.

You might say overkill, but the PVD TiCN coating is the best of the best. It isn’t cheap, and these triggers retail for $260 dollars, but when you want the best, that’s the price you pay for a fully-tuned creep-free trigger, and it’s still cheaper than having one custom built.

Another huge advantage is the spring. The ZEV SSR (single stage rifle) triggers come with two hammer springs, allowing a user-adjustable trigger of either 3-3.5 or 5-5.5 pounds depending on your use and preference.

Perhaps the coloring of the trigger is by accident, but the rose-gold/brass colored coating adds a touch of prestige to your rifle. We know you aren’t necessarily buying one to pretty-up your little black rifle, but it’s a nice added touch to showcase an amazing trigger. Check them out today. It’s always a good time to upgrade your AR.
