Overwatch Precision Triggers for Your Glock

Overwatch Precision Triggers - DAT Trigger - TAC Trigger

If they can’t make it the best, they don’t make it at all.

Overwatch is one of those businesses that you wish every company would be, especially in the tacti-cool world of custom firearm parts. No silly marketing tactics, no B.S., everything they make is designed with their core mission statement in mind: do it better than everyone else, or don’t do it.

In fact, they’re so proud of their products, that they offer a total lifetime warranty, as long as the product hasn’t been deliberately abused. In the world of Glock owners, I think we’ve all seen those videos.

So, aside from torture-testing your trigger, it’s comes with a true lifetime warranty, and that carries over if you ever decide to sell your Glock to someone else, or if you purchase one with an Overwatch trigger already installed.

How awesome are they?

F'n awesome. I’m not going to sugar coat it, this is the best trigger that you can install on your Glock, and no matter which model you purchase, you are getting a solid performance trigger constructed from high grade aluminum alloy and coated. Take it for one range trip, and other Glock triggers will feel like cheap, creepy plastic.

Overwatch may have gone a little overboard with the “build-forever” mentality. Their triggers are cut from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, hard coated with a Type III coating, and then further anodized to MIL-A-8625 standard. Even their coatings are something they take seriously.

These triggers are not designed to change the pull weight of your Glock, but they do deliver a self-correcting rearward press that will aide in keeping your muzzle on the target through the shot. The flat-faced varieties, the DAT and TAC, and even the gentle curve of the BRZ are designed for more consistent finger placement as well, which means more accurate shooting.

The Biggest Advantages

As I said, this won’t change your pull weight. What these triggers do, is reduce trigger reach (by as much as a quarter of an inch), and on a fat Glock, that can be helpful, as most shooters that don’t have gorilla hands.

They also reduce overall travel, while maintaining compliance with safety features on the firearm. They remove the gritty feeling from your trigger, allowing it to break like glass.

Plus they look sexy as hell.

DAT versus TAC

There’s been some chatter online about the differences between various triggers offered by Overwatch, but most of it is just the usual “Bubba Talk.” The DAT and TAC triggers are virtually identical, but there’s a simple difference. If you want more color options, go with the DAT. If you want a tiny lip at the bottom of the shoe to help with consistent finger placement, go TAC. That’s pretty much it, they are even priced the same, both just a hair under $130.

Both the DAT and TAC triggers are flat faced and wonderful.

The BRZ Trigger

Hot off the line, the new BRZ trigger is something of a mix of flat face and precision curved profiles. The bulk of the face is flat. It gently curves where the safety pokes out from the middle. The current offering is black with either a black or red safety, and built to the same performance standards as everything else from Overwatch.

The Falx Trigger

If you want all the performance of an Overwatch trigger while still maintaining a stock look and a curved profile, then the Falx is here to answer the call. The curved face will be a comfort that requires very little getting used to. It’s only available in black. Of course, a little Cerakote can fix that, if you like.

Just Because You Don’t See It…
